For Congress In California's 11th congressional district.
Progressive warrior, Stanford graduate, TV+film actress, transgender woman, LGBT activist and Democratic Socialist.
Every year, the incumbent becomes more and more insufferably detached. I kept saying to myself, “someone else will care, people will cast that piece of dung down” – but nothing. Finally mutual friends expressed they felt the same and encouraged me to run for the office!
This is not a changing of careers, nor should it be. It is the calling of responsibility, responsibility I’ve tried to deny for a long time.
As a transgender woman I enjoy the entire support of San Francisco’s (and the nation’s) LGBT community (over 40% of the incumbent's base).
The women of San Francisco will not be interested in replacing a woman with a man.
I'm the ONLY challenger with NATIONAL name recognition.
This campaign's potential instills the FEAR OF GOD in the incumbent so much so that when I entered the race, the incumbent increased fundraising by 600% from her year over year average.
I studied computer science and economics at Stanford, sublime training for representing the capital city of the Information Age! The incumbent essentially went to finishing school, to get her Mrs.
